Blueberry-Infused Vodka

Every blueberry vodka drink benefits from homemade blueberry-infused vodka. It’s really not hard to prepare, so even the most inexperienced bartenders and mixologists can make it. It just takes some time and patience!

Ingredients and equipment

  • 1 part fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 parts vodka
  • Large mason jar
  • Large spoon or muddling tool
  • Cheesecloth or coffee filter

Directions

  • Wash and dry fresh blueberries, or thaw frozen blueberries in a bowl. Add the berries (And the juice if you’re using frozen berries) to the bottom of the mason jar and use the muddling tool or spoon to smash them a few times so that the juices are released
  • Pour the vodka over the berries. (Use twice as much vodka as blueberries) Make sure that the vodka is completely covering the berries. Then, tightly seal the lid and give the jar a shake
  • Store jar in a cool, dark place
  • Check to see if any berries are floating on the top after a few hours. If they are, dispose of them
  • Let the mixture infuse for 2 weeks to a month
  • Strain through coffee filter or cheesecloth, discarding the berries
  • Store blueberry-infused vodka in freezer

Directions
