Caramelized Pear Martini

It’s not uncommon for a martini to contain fruity flavors, but it is unusual for a martini to be both fruity and a dessert drink. Not only is it fruity and sweet, it’s a little herbaceous due the bit of rosemary simple syrup it contains. This drink is perfect for the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 measure pear vodka
  • 1 measure salted caramel vodka
  • 1 1/2 measures pear nectar
  • 3/4 measure rosemary simple syrup
  • 1/2 measure lemon juice
  • Caramel syrup (garnish)

Directions

  • Combine equal parts sugar and water to a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil to dissolve sugar. Add a couple of sprigs of rosemary and let it steep in the sugar mixture while it cools. Then, remove sprigs and store the syrup in refrigerator
  • Either dip a martini glass in caramel syrup to rim it, or drizzle caramel syrup on the inside of the glass
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well
  • Strain into martini glass
